Biography: Janet enjoys painting in watercolor, oil and mixed media. The subjects can be as varied as a still life, local landscape or an experimental mixed media piece. Janet describes her favorite mixed media work as creating a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma using one of her heroes—Churchill’s phrases.

Experience: Her work has been accepted and won numerous awards in both Local and National competitions. Two pieces of her Art work are on show at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Poway and George Washington’s Church office in Alexandria.

NCSFA Workshop
Award winning artist Janet Perkin used collage and rubber stamp techniques to make artistic greeting cards. Each person was shown ideas for backgrounds, gift-wrap, tissue, photocopies of photographs, collage papers, and rubber stamps which form the basis of much of her art work.
