About the Artist

A California native, Judy Nachazel studied art at Grossmont College and San Diego State University . She extended her studies through workshops by many noted artists including Daniel Greene, Albert Handel, Sally Strand, Doug Dawson and David Leffel.
Working in pastels and acrylics, Judy paints what interests her. An award winning artist, her goal is to capture and convey that interest to the viewer. She has given pastel demos and workshops throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties and in Oregon . As a teacher, her goal is to encourage her students to explore their creative potential.

Nachazel is a member of the California Art Club. She is also a past president and a member of both the Pastel Society of San Diego and the Ramona Art Guild and the co-founder of the annual Ramona Open Studios Tour.
