SUPPLY LIST FOR BOOK OF PRINTS/HAIKU
—gel plate , 8x10 is ideal and a 6x6 will work
NOTE: if you do NOT want to buy a gel plate, you can still participate. Lovely painted
papers can be made with stencils, mark making and other means. ( Speedball gel
plates do NOT work for this but their brayers are great).
—acrylic paints, favorite colors
—several sheets of copy paper (30)
—matte soft GEL medium, small jar
—scissors, large and small sizes
—4” brayer
—paintbrush, or narrow silicone brush for applying medium
—small brush for tearing edges with water; water brush is ideal
—large nail file, or fine sandpaper for cleaning edges of book
—Exacto knife or utility knife
—cutting mat or heavy cardboard
—small squeegee,or Catalyst wedge, bone folder or credit card
—pencil
—plastic palette or butter knife
—wide, tan, masking tape
—leaves, small sprays, flower heads(optional)
—rice paper, deli paper (optional)
— plastic table cover
—paper towels, or baby wipes (99.9% water)
—water container
—gloves, apron
I will furnish:
NOTE: I have several books of Haiku and reference materials; also, limited printed
Haiku for cutting
-small 6” books for recovering
-multiple types of papers for creative options; extra prints
-extra scissors, gel medium, nail files/sandpaper
-stencils, lots!
