Jurors’ comments:

As we studied the artwork, we discovered more details and layers of meaning. Every time we looked anew, we saw deeper into the imagination that created this collage. As a large piece we needed to stand back to see the over-arching composition, yet we were drawn into the compelling close-up imagery.

There were many outstanding paintings that deserved awards, but this one held our interest as a unique work of art.
